50th Anniversary

Today is BDC's 50th ANNIVERSARY and
we started our monthly staff assembly with a recap of our histories.
What are we without our yesterdays.
The seventh wouldn't be the seventh if there was no first.
Happy Anniversary to Us....

Goodbye is sweet sorrow

YB Chairman reading out Tuan Haji Ali Hossien Tready & Wilfred Benjamin's biographies.

Tuan Haji Ali recalling his 35 years in BDC. One of those who started and managed to end their career at BDC. He chose BDC over the many financial institutions that offered him a placing. It was all for the love of the outdoors, new experiences and teamwork. His recollection included his past 'hey days" and quite down-to-earth current happenings.

Things we know about Tuan Haji Ali:
1. Well known for his LOVE of food, food and more food.
When you eat next to him, rest assured that you would and could be eating more than you would imagine.

2. He reads a lot.
From the many markings in the articles he kept, he must have read through them. His favourite are biographies.

3. Graduate from University of Malaya.
If you graduated from the University of Malaya in the 70's as one of the top students, you would be much sought after.

4. Very patient and don't like to argue.
Having weird secretaries is a boss's secret dream. And he lived through those many years without much complaints.

5. Plays badminton not as a game.

6. Has a wide knowledge of HERBS - the traditional way.

7. He can't sing.
But is game enough to try - his version of "Let's Twist Again" is forever remembered

8. He loves the outdoor - picnic and BBQ.

9. Commendable, a man with a heart of gold

Wilfred turned his farewell speech into a biographies of what he did behind our back for the past 38 years. Uhuh...!! Wilfred is a community man. He really enjoys the lime-lights and the way he spoke revealed the man that is always smiling in front of you but giving you that dissatisfied look the minute you look away. He loves changes. He would love to get his own ways to the extend of ignoring the rules of establishment. As a wise, experienced man, there are many times that he is right, of course.

Things we know about Wilfred:

1. Politically inclined.

2. Many children - seven "..... learn".

3. Helpful..

4. Sociable
