The new DUN Sarawak was officially launched by the Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin on a glorious 27 July 2009 (5 Syaaban 1430Hijrah). The ceremony was telecast live on RTM. The new DUN stood tall across the Astana, overseeing the Sarawak River and the Kuching Waterfront on the other bank. The nine storey buildings is pretty impressive on top of Fort Hill. Here shall be the next venue for the DUN's sittings.Monday, July 27, 2009
